Experiment in Texture

Today’s card is brought to you by nice weather, being out of the house, and crayons. I decided that today would be a fun day to do some rubs while hanging out at gangplank. I brought crayons with me and just used some printer paper already there. For those of you who might not know what a rub is, it’s when you rub a crayon (or chalk) on paper over a textured surface. I rubbed desks, walls, chairs, rugs, sidewalks, cement, and outside tiles.

When I was ready to make my card, I took one last piece of printer paper and folded it into quarters so I would know which part would be the outside. I unfolded it and rubbed on an outside chair with my jungle green crayon. I rubbed vertically and horizontally to get a nice, clear picture.
